To all the lovely family members I have met of Opa's.   
Opa has been in my thoughts often since his passing and I wanted to share how lucky I felt to have had the opportunity to get to know him.  What an extraordinary man he was!  The stories I heard through Vic and those sitting around Oma & Opa's table told a tale of a man so talented, strong, witty and brave.  
I especially loved seeing and hearing about all the items that he fixed.  His workshop was so cool and it was really special how much he enjoyed his time building and fixing.  His ingenuity was very evident and impressive.  Being at the house watching the love he had for his family was something to admire. I will continue to fondly remember him as well as how special it was to see what a wonderful life Oma and Opa Erik had together.  

Opa, 
You meant the world to your family and friends.
You made a stranger to you feel like an old friend.
You created a beautiful life for you and your family.
Your kind spirit is truly missed but not forgotten.
May your family and friends find comfort in all the good memories they have of you.
