Yvan leaves behind his devoted wife Nicole, his daughters Michelle and Monique (Murray) and his grandchildren Gage and Toby. He also had a sister, Martine and two brothers, Christian and Richard as well as many nieces and nephews. Everyone that loved and crossed Yvan’s life path will always remember his kind and generous heart, will continue to honor his memory, and will miss him beyond measure.
Yvan immigrated to Canada with his parents and siblings in 1965 at the age of 10 years old. He landed in Montreal, Quebec and came west to British Columbia soon after. In the early 70’s he and his family moved to Calgary. This is where he met the love of his life, Nicole. The inseparable pair was wed on July 10th, 1976. Soon after he welcomed his daughters, Michelle and Monique.
Yvan and Nicole raised their family in the High River area, and that is where he was called home to God. Yvan started his company CMAC and proudly operated it for over 30 years. His love of firearms lead to a hobby that connected him with so many of his most treasured friends. Yvan also found new passion in the guitar. He was faithfully taking lessons and loved to practice into the wee hours of the night.
He will always be remembered for his sense of humour and his great love of the outdoors. Yvan was always there to help anyone in need, no matter the day, time or place. Over the years, Yvan had many animal companions that he loved. His best furry friend, Benny the Beagle, who never left his side, joined him in heaven the following day.
