Zofia Szczerbacewicz (Bohdan) passed away peacefully at her home in Calgary on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Zofia was born and raised in Kamień, Poland. As a young mother, she and her family moved to Tawencino. In 1977, seven years after losing her first husband, she made the choice to immigrate to Canada where she settled in the Calgary area. Over the years, some of her children were able to join her here in Canada. She is survived by daughter Irena, sons Ignacy (Stasia), Josef (Eva), Andy and Bruce (Andrea) as well as 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. There will be a Prayer Vigil held at Foster's Garden Chapel, 3220 - 4 Street N. W., Calgary, AB (across from Queen's Park Cemetery) on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Church, 2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W., Calgary, AB on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Queen's Park Cemetery.
