Albert lived a life true to himself, guided by faith and an open heart that welcomed all into his home. A gifted storyteller, he captivated those around him with tales from his extraordinary life journey—from his childhood in Belgium during and after WWII, to his teenage years in Brazil, to settling in Canada, where he met his beloved Joan through their shared passion for ballroom dancing. Even after a serious leg injury, Albert’s spirit remained unbroken, and he danced with joy until he could no longer. A true handyman and problem solver, he could fix anything that was broken, always finding a way with ingenuity and determination. As a foreman at Sheldon’s Engineering for many years, he brought leadership and skill to his work.
