Passed away peacefully, surrounded by love on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 in his 79th year. Survived by his sons Al (Brigitte) and Steven, long-time partner Diane Baker, her daughter Tracy, seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his siblings Mary Craig (Aiden) of Newfoundland, Madeline Fitzpatrick of Georgetown, Carmel O’Keefe of Florida, Veronica Bilodeau (Yvan) of Hespeler, Francis Clarke of Toronto, Don Kavanagh (Barbara) of Mississauga, sister in-laws Margaret and Elaine of Cambridge, members of the Morgan family in Newfoundland and Ontario and his many nieces and nephews. Al now joins his deceased wife Dorothy (1984), brothers Robert (Scobby) and Joseph, brother in-laws Vincent and Eli and his stepdaughter Dawn Cole. Thank you to the staff at Golden Years for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 3 – 6 p.m. If desired, donations in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
