With sadness and broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Denise Linda Campbell on Saturday, May 20, 2017 in her 60th year. Denise was a caring and compassionate person, not just to those around her, but also to the environment. She loved nature, from plants and flowers to birds and critters, she loved them all. Denise was an intellectual, loved to read, and had a strong work ethic, no matter which job she was working. She was also a collector of odds and sods that date to the 1900-1950 period. Denise had many talents, but will be remembered most for the way she made origami birds for children whenever the opportunity presented itself. Denise will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Menno Martin, brothers Gary Campbell and Kirk Campbell (Heather Coutts), Father-in-law Menno Martin and his wife Laurel Hasenpflung , sisters Brenda Martin (Randy), Bonnie Pelling (Bob), Julia Metzger (Stuart), Jackie Alli (Cam Anness), Darlene Schwarz (Burk), niece Tara, nephew Geordie, great-nephew Kiernan, great-niece Sayde, and so many others in the Martin and Moore families. Denise was predeceased by her parents, David and Lois Campbell (nee Moore). As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life in her memory will be held on Sunday, June 25th at the Preston Legion, 334 Westminster Drive in Cambridge, from 1-4 pm. In lieu of flowers or donations, please honour Denise’s memory through acts of kindness towards an animal or outdoor park near your home in effort to make the world a better place for all.
