Many thanks to the Nurses and Doctors at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for their devotion and dedication to their cancer patients.
He had a peaceful passing at Lisaard House in his beloved city of Cambridge where he lived his whole life. Thank you to the wonderful nurses at Lisaard House for their dedication to helping those in their final days.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Ford, his nephew Darrell (Laura), his niece Tracey (aka #1) (Mark) and his nephew Jody. He is survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews. He has many special friends who have been helping with appointments and making soup!
Donald loved the Toronto Blue Jays and enjoyed many a Sunday watching these games with us. He also had a great passion for his curling in the winter and golf in the summer. He has more golf balls than a professional player!
Donald’s wishes are to be cremated. He loved Riverside Park and has spent many hours there over his lifetime living in Preston. He played and umpired ball for many years and in the last few years he spent his time cleaning the park. These past few months he was not able to maintain his cleaning regiment.
His family members and friends will plan to meet at Riverside Park on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 11 AM to clean up his park and enjoy a little celebration of life.
