Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, February 5, 2011 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Frank (2004) for 63 years. Dear mother of Gary (Louise) and Karen (Wayne Brittenden). Loving grandmother of the late David Brittenden (2009), Debbie (Bob Stefansson), Randy Brittenden, Scott Hill, and Toby Hill (Michelle). Great grandmother to Nicholas and Kristopher Stefansson; Abigail and Madeline Hill. Aunt of special niece Betty Lou Boyer. Predeceased by brother Elmer McFarlane. Doris was a longtime member of King Street Baptist Church and was a member of the church’s Philathea Class. She was also a much loved nursery school teacher at the YWCA. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. In memory of Doris, donations to the King Street Baptist Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
