Elizabeth Esch

Passed away peacefully in Cambridge, on January 6, 2014 in her 97th year. She now joins her husband of 60 years, Earl (1999). Beloved mother of Ron Esch (Violet) and Gwyn Purdy (Sam). Cherished grandmother of Shannon Miller (Trevor), and Leanne Purdy (Chris Gates) and adored nanie of Dylan and Taylor Miller. She was predeceased by her sister Maude. Mom, you were a very loving, caring, and considerate wife, mom, nana, and nanie. Thank you for a lifetime filled with love, laughter and praise – with the occasional come-uppance sprinkled in when deserved. Those character traits are what made you the person you were, and were passed along to all who knew you. In essence, thanks for being you and sharing your life with us. We treasure the memories and will miss you terribly. Love you. Many thanks to her circle of friends who always included her, even in the last few years when her eyesight was failing.

Cremation has taken place and at her request, private family services will be held. As expressions of sympathy, donations in her memory to St. John’s Anglican Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Barthel Funeral Home (519) 653-3251.
