With the heaviest of hearts and the saddest of sadness we say farewell to Ernest Knowles; Harpo to those who knew him best. 88 years this earth had with him and on June 15, 2016 he entered eternal peace with his Heavenly Father. A devoted and cherished husband, best friend and soul mate to Shirley Knowles (nee Fletcher). You could find Ernest on the greens of the golf course in a friendly competition with his "daughter" by choice, Marie Cracknell (Bob) or lining up the perfect shot in a game of pool. Family and friends are invited to Barthel Funeral Home on June 18, 2016 from 11am to 1pm. 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) for a visitation and sharing in some of Ernest's favourite foods... and Chocolate! A Funeral Service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with interment at Memory Gardens. Donations in Ernest's memory can be directed to Freeport Hospital or to a charity near and dear to your heart.
