Helen Patricia Kelly

Helen Patricia Kelly (nee Connolly) passed away peacefully on December 11, 2015 at the age of 78. Helen worked as a Nurse and Health Care Aid for 22 years. She loved dogs, roller skating, and travelling to Newfoundland, England, Ireland and many other places. She also enjoyed taking photographs. Helen will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 10 years Thomas Kelly; her children Patrick (Paulette) O’Leary of Newfoundland, Daniel (Linda) O’Leary of Alberta, Kathy (Keith) Taylor of Alberta, Theresa (Kevin) Jacques of Cambridge, Sheila (Martin) Harrison of Cambridge, Margaret (Chris) O’Leary of Edmonton, John (Roxanne) O’Leary of British Columbia, and Jim (Natasha) O’Leary of Tillsonburg; her 3 step-children Geraldine (Ian) Coles, Valerie Kelly, and John Kelly, all of Manchester England. Helen is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, her brother Michael Connolly, and many nephews and nieces. Helen is predeceased by her parents Michael and Kathleen Connolly, her first husband Charles O’Leary, her brothers Stanley, Robert, Reginal, Patrick, and her sister Maureen. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 18th, 2015 at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge Ontario, N3H 3J8, (519) 653-3251, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Clements Church, 745 Duke St, Cambridge Ontario, N3H 3T7. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Lisaard House or the Alzheimer’s Association. The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Mennonite Home for the wonderful care and compassion given to Helen.
