On Tuesday, December 19th, 2017 Irma Lenore Struthers passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Ross Struthers (d. 2003), in heaven. There, she also joins her siblings Robert, Jack, William and Raymond, granddaughter Leyla and her daughter-in-law Phyllis. Irma will be dearly missed by her sons Rae (Susan), Steve, Dan (Marilyn), Neil (Marie), and Keith (Lynn), grandchildren Sandy (Bob), Matthew (Julia), Geoff (Christy), Ashley (Monica), Blaze, Madelyn, Cameron (Amber), and Maclean (Kathryn), and nine great-grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by members of both the Chowen and Struthers families.
Visitation to be held Saturday December 23rd from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Road, Cambridge). A private family service will be held following the visitation, with a public Celebration of Life announced at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the March of Dimes (Post-Polio), St. Andrew's Terrace, or the Fairview Mennonite Home.
