John David Ellis

ELLIS - John David: Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday February 14th, 2016 at the age of 80. Beloved husband to Melvina (nee Doucette) of 55 years and loving father to Laurie (Eimutis), Cindy (Mark), Cheryl (Renato) and Michael (Louise). Cherished papa to his nine grandchildren: Megan, Kyle, Brittany, Brent, Samantha, Emily, Michael, Nicholas, Jessica and his three great grand children: Ezabella, Emmett and Emma-lee.

David is survived by his brother Roger Ellis (Marg), sister-in-law Patricia Ellis, brother and sister- in-laws from Prince Edward Island, nieces and nephews, He is predeceased by his youngest brother William Ellis and his parents, John and Winifred Ellis.

David found great joy in spending time with his family and friends, skiing on the hills of Mt St Louis, golfing, playing cards, and summer vacations in PEI.As per his wishes cremation has taken place. A mass and celebration of life will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 27th at St Clement’s Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge.

In lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy can be made to St. Mary's Hospital (Cardiac Care Centre) or The Heart & Stroke Foundation.
