at the age of 79. Dear father of Neil (Debra) and Derek (Wendy) and cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn and Daniel Atkins and Amanda McDaid. He will also be missed by his sister Catherine Lazure and brother Paul Atkins.
Vic was born and raised in Yarmouth, N.S. before moving to Preston, ON where he met his beloved wife Audrey. With his passing, he now joins Audrey, his brother Leonard Atkins and sisters Marion Fitzgerald and Ruth Durnford.
Vic was a long time resident of Cambridge, ON where he was a dedicated employee of Canada Last and later Hoechst Canada.
The family will receive friends at the BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, 519-653-3251 on Friday, November 15th, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at Barthel Funeral Home on Saturday, November 16th, at 11:00 a.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by his family.
