Marguerite Marie Scheuerman

With great sadness, her family announces that Marguerite Marie Scheuerman (nee Gignac) passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Fairview Mennonite Home, in her 89th year. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Gerald Scheuerman (2010). Beloved mother of Judy Murphy (Late Dennis), Gwenda Leveille (Daniel), Debbie Elzinga (Peter). Cherished grandmother of Kristin Diebel (Todd), Shannon Remers (Owen), Trevor Matkovich (Amanda), Denise Jansen (Dave), Cayla Elzinga, and Justin Elzinga. Proud great-grandmother of Isabelle, Harry, Willow, Wyatt, Arianna, and Hunter. She will also be lovingly remembered by her siblings Louise Schwartz, Marie Seitz, and Albert ‘Abby’ Gignac (Helen) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marguerite grew up in Preston, part of a large, loving family with 12 siblings. She loved to play cards, doing crossword puzzles, and dancing; she and Gerald were often seen walking around their neighbourhood on their way to visit friends.

The family would like to thank the staff at Fairview Mennonite Home, as well as Dr. Leung and Lisa, for their compassionate care these last few years.

In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends are invited to Memorial Visitation at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519-653-3251) on Tuesday, December 3rd from 11 am – 12:45 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will follow in the Barthel Chapel at 1 pm. As expressions of sympathy, Marguerite would have appreciated donations in her memory be made to Lisaard House.
