Norman Skinner

Passed away on June 6, 2011 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband to Marianne. Dear father to Norma Leusink, Walter (Myra) Skinner , Step-father to Scott (Rose) Robertson and Dave (Jane) Robertson Adored grandfather to James, Emily, Sarah, Megan, Cassandra, Jenna and Jack. Survived by brothers Morris (Phyllis), Howard (Esther) and sister-in-law Paula. He will be missed by his feline buddies, Smokey and Chico.

Predeceased by his wife Jane (1972), his parents and brothers Percy, Clifford, Gordon and Stanley.

Norm was a volunteer Fire Fighter for Preston Fire Dept. for 8 years and a professional Fire Fighter for the City of Cambridge for 16 years.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the Guardian Angels at River Bend Place for the past 5 months, The Cambridge Fire Dept. and the Red Cross Homemakers (Karla).

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Norm’s life will be held at Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge (519) 653-3251 on Saturday, June 18th at 11 a.m. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or SPCA would be appreciated by the family. The Family wishes to invite friends and family to the Royal Canadian Legion, Preston Branch 126, 334 Westminster Drive North. Cambridge, Ontario N3H 1S5 following the service.
