

WADE, Shirley (Butcher) Passed away peacefully at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Tuesday February 18, 2014. Born on October 10, 1924. Shirley resided in Cambridge and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and GG. Shirley considered herself a very fortunate woman to have been loved twice in her lifetime by two wonderful men. She has left us now to once again hold hands with her first husband of forty-six years, Wes Butcher, and her second husband of seven years, Bruce Wade. Shirley was a loving mother and friend to her children, Terry Butcher, Gail Hadley, Brian (Debbie) Butcher, Jackie(John)Chambers and stepdaughter Rochelle(Howard) Nobert, and Joanne Butcher, who always held a special place in her heart. Shirley will always be remembered and thought of dearly by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Bill and Ella McMullen, daughter-in-law Val Butcher and son-in-law Doug Hadley, brother Bill McMullen and sisters Jacqueline Glezos, Betty Stevens and Dolores Mason, sister-in-law Hazel Nussli and great-grand daughter Jennifer Lynn Campbell. Survived by sisters-in-law Peggy Butcher and Reta Butcher. Shirley will always be fondly remembered by her many friends who shared in lots of fun memories at John Bayus Park and she will always be thought of with warm memories and her spirit will live on in her children forever. Special thanks go out to Dr. Catalina and Nurses on 5th floor and in Palliative Care, Dr. Cameron, Darlene and girls in the Lab at Grandview for all the TLC given to Shirley while she was in the hospital. You are all very special people. Cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Shirley’s life to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
