Stewart was a strong, proud, and sometimes stubborn Scottish man who loved to be with his family, especially his late wife Isobel. He served in the Scottish military during WWII. Stewart enjoyed carpentry as a hobby and completed many projects over the years, including some beautiful cabinets. He travelled to New Zealand several times to visit family and he absolutely loved it there. As an independent man, he didn’t like accepting help later in life from the “do-gooders,” as he comically referred to them. Stewart will be fondly remembered by his step-daughter Susan Johnson, granddaughter Tawny Foster, grandson Corey Tippett (Dee Scanlon) and his brothers Gordon Wallace (Cathy) of New Zealand, Alan Wallace (Janet) of Espanola, Ontario, and Charlie Wallace of Scotland. Stewart now rests in peace with his beloved wife Isobel Wallace, daughter Wendy Running, son-in-law Norm Johnson, grandson Ryan Foster, and great-grandson Dalton Tippett. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will not be a service. Memorial donations may be made to the Lisaard House.
