Sylvia Evelyn Haight

Sylvia was born in Galt to parents John Peace and Evelyn Cardy. She attended G.C.I. and was a proud member of the United Church U.C.W. and the Women’s Institute. She married the love of her life, Ron Haight, on September 17th, 1955. Ron passed away in May, 2001. Sylvia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her son Steve, daughter Julie, grandchildren Jacob (Katie), Jesse (Tiffany), Mya, and Kiara, and her great-granddaughters Chloe, Paige, and Avery. She is also survived by her cousins Bill and Anne, and many friends who will miss her. Friends and relatives are invited to a Memorial Service at Trillium United Church (450 King St. E, Cambridge) on Saturday, August 17th at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sick Kids Foundation.
