CLOSS, Verna Bernice; Passed away peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the age of 93. She was born May 4th, 1929 in Nipissing Twp., Ontario. Verna is survived by her loving son Steven, loving niece and Goddaughter Michelle Jarrett, Brother Maurice Gennoe (Judy), brother in law Bob Hilborn, sister in law Barb Gennoe and sister in law Jean Bussieres. Predeceased by her husband Lloyd (June 6, 2022), son John and her sisters Betty, Florence, Dorothy, and brothers Gilbert, Norman, Harold and Bill. Verna will be missed by her many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially the Brown Family. Verna's family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 from 11:00 am until the service time at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will be at Parklawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario are greatly appreciated.
