

Arthur was born on January 4, 1934 in St-Fidèle, QC to the late James Bacon and Margaret Esligar but was adopted at the early age of 5 by George and Cecile Leblanc following the death of his mother.
Arthur began his work life at a young age. He began as a crane operator (16 years) before returning home to operate Art’s Esso / Metro Service Station in Robinsonville, NB in 1965. Art and his wife Patsy (MacDonald) ran the business until their retirement in 2014 on Art’s 80th birthday. Art spent every Sunday at his daughter Cecile’s house or the family cottage with his son-in-law Gilbert (Cyr), his grand-daughters Cara (Jonathan Watts) and Braelyn (Chesley Court) and, in recent years, with his great grandsons Leland and Elliot Watts.
Besides his wife Patricia, he is survived by his children Cecile (Gilbert) Cyr; his granddaughters Cara (Jonathan) Cyr-Watts and Braelyn (Chesley) Cyr and his great grandsons Leland and Elliot Watts.
A Funeral Service for Arthur will be held at Maher's funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne St., Campbellton on May 10 at 11am.
