Dear Sue. I am truly sorry to read about your husband's death. I will always remember the lavish flowers around your house in Dartmouth for all those years. I know of the pain and sorrow you and your family are feeling at this time. You are in my prayers. Always remember the good times.

I had the privilege of working remotely with Charlie at CIBC for over two decades. I knew Charlie to be a truly dedicated employee always prepared to go the extra mile to not only fulfill his responsibilities but also to mentor others. Charlie and I retired at the same time, but have stayed in touch over the subsequent 22 years even though I was in Toronto and he was wherever his camper took him and Sue for many years until they finally settled in Campbellton, where he renewed his love of gardening among other things. Charlie had an awesome sense of humour, and I shall miss his very regular e-mails forwarding humourous items and cartoons, as well as our annual Christmas telephone calls.  

My sincere condolences to Sue, and to Natalie and Nathan and their families. You (and his friends, acquaintaences and former colleagues) lost a good man too soon.

My sincere sympathy to you at this sad time. I have many fond memories of Charlie as he was my secretary when I was President of the Port Williams and District Lions Club in  1975-1976. We also had coffee on a regular basis as both he and I had our offices in the Students' Centre at Acadia University. I haven't seen Charlie since he was transferred from CIBC at Acadia but I often think of him and the good times that we had together. RIP Charlie - you were a GOOD LION and lived up to the motto of " WE SERVE" !

Sue, Nathan and Natalie,
I was shocked to hear this news. Over the past 10 years Charlie  passed along a green building article and always wanted an update on how my family was doing. I recall meeting up at the KOA in Sackville. Dating back to 1989, he and I had a client/architect relationship that blossomed into a life long friendship. He taught me a very important lesson early in my career;  Be honest with a client and work on the solution, and don’t ever lie. He impacted a lot of people and I will miss his emails that were always filled with interesting subjects, and caring. Our deepest condolences

Sue: Sorry to see that Charlie has passed. We didn't work together branch wise but often over the years when he was in premises, particularly  when we renovated Campbellton branch many years ago. Audrey and I will remember you in our prayers.
