

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital (Veterans ward) on August 2nd, 2017 at the amazing age of 99, Mr. Clarence (Clemmy) Clements of Campbellton, husband of the late Avis (Anderson) Clements. Born in Campbellton on June 12th, 1918, son of the late John Clements and the late Caecilia Theriault of Grande-Anse, NB.
Clemmy worked for A.H. English as a plumber for approximately 35 years until retirement. He was a Veteran of the Second World War serving his country in Italy, France and Germany as a member of the Army’s First Division. Clemmy was also an avid Campbellton Tigers fan attending most games and also a die-hard fan of the Toronto Blue Jays.
He leaves behind his daughter Gayle (John Bouthillier) Wright of Bathurst, his son John (Jake) Clements of Riverview, his son Peter Clements of Campbellton and daughter Sally (Roger) Clements-Drapeau of Campbellton, his grandchildren: Debbie, Kellie, Vanessa and Natasha; his great-grandchildren Jordan & Taylor and Kyla & Alyssa. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his grandson Scott, brothers Leo and Whitney Payne and by his sister Stella Payne Firlotte.
A funeral mass will be held at St Thomas Aquinas Church in Campbellton, Wednesday August 9th at 2:00 pm. Legion members of Campbellton branch # 19 and all members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to meet at Maher’s Funeral Home on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm for Legion Service.
Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00, and Wednesday from 1:00 pm until time of funeral.
