David Jonathan Isaac

It is with heavy hearts that the Isaac family announces the sudden death of our beloved David Jonathon Isaac, also affectionately known as “JR”, on Saturday January 13, 2018. Born on August 31st, 1960, the son of Ruth and David Isaac, David passed away at Campbellton Regional Hospital.

He is survived by his mother Ruth, sisters Karen and Sandra, brother Barry and his nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his father David (1999) and his dear sisters Maria (2005) and Donna (2010).

David attended Lord Beaverbrook School and continued high school in Ottawa where he lived and worked for several years before returning to Listuguj.

A Catholic mass and celebration of life is to take place at Saint Anne’s Church, Listuguj, on Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at 11:00 am. In honour of David, let us reach out to others in the spirit of empathy to carry out an act of kindness to someone else.

Visitation at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, Wednesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00, as well as Thursday from 10:00 am until time of funeral.

The family respectfully acknowledges the support and care of the Listuguj Mi’kmaw government and their social services department over the past few years.

In lieu of flowers please consider supporting care facilities such as Le Foyer in Campbellton, for their significant role in our communities. Lastly, may we continue to better understand and accept those with diverse needs and recognize their importance in our lives and society.
