

Born on August 13, 1937, in Shediac, NB, Julie was the daughter of the late Laurent and Beatrice Bourque.
Julie was predeceased by the love of her life and devoted husband of 53 years, Don Hume. She was also predeceased by her siblings: Camille (infant brother), Marie, Leona, and Edgar. In addition, she was predeceased by her brothers-in-law Cecil Hume and Laurie LeBlanc; her sisters-in-law Marie Hume and Anna Bourque; her niece Tanya Hume; her grand-nephew Cohen Valiquette; and her beloved pets, Patches and Goldie, who brought her immense companionship and joy throughout the years.
Julie leaves behind her brother-in-law Dale Hume (Kilby), her sister-in-law Bernie Hume, and her cherished close family friends, Lyle and Donna Whitty. She is also survived by her siblings: Alfred, Joseph (Stella), Therese (Gerard), Stella, Florene, Dorene, Albert (Jacqueline), Noel, and Gerard. Julie will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews, all of whom held a very special place in her heart.
Julie and Don began their married life together in Campbellton, where she built a meaningful and dedicated career as a nursing assistant at the Campbellton Hospital. Over her many years of service, she became known not only for her professionalism, but for her compassion, kindness, and the genuine friendships she formed with both colleagues and patients. Her care and dedication touched countless lives.
Her passion for helping others extended far beyond her profession. Julie was a devoted and active member of the First Baptist Church in Campbellton, where her generous spirit and unwavering faith guided her involvement in the community. She was always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a comforting word, truly embodying a life of service and love.
In her free time, Julie found great joy in simple pleasures, especially spending hours shopping at any mall or store she could find—a pastime that brought her happiness and many fond memories.
Julie will be remembered for her warm heart, her giving nature, and her quiet strength. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to live on in the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
