Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 5th, 2018 at the age of 77, Mr. Kenneth McDavid, husband of Heather (Wilson). Born in Matapedia on May 15, 1940, son of the late Johnny and Eileen McDavid.
He worked for Imperial Oil for a few years but most years were spent as a warden for the Restigouche Salmon Club in Matapedia. He loved that job the best, being in the outdoors and sometimes meeting famous persons. He was also an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan, often saying “next year”.
He is survived by his wife Heather, his daughters Melissa (Montreal) and Amy (Ottawa), and grandson Austin (Campbellton). He is also survived by his sister Florence (Bill) Huntington and many loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Jonathan in 2002, his sister Marion and his brothers Grant and Richard.
A private graveside service will be held in summer when his daughters can be home.
Donations may be made to the Matapedia Prostestant Cemetery or to a charity of donor’s choice.
