Leonard Timmy Mitchell

Leonard Timmy was born on November 19, 1972 in Campbellton, NB to the late Leonard Isaac and Vivian Sorbey.

Tim was known for his big heart. He rarely said no when anyone asked for help with anything. He enjoyed and looked forward to moose hunting, watching sunsets and dreamed of old age in a rocking chair and a cup of coffee. Tim had a talent for beadwork, dream catchers and baby cradle boards. He enjoyed time with family and friends.

Tim will be missed by his family and wife Lucy, children Erica Vicaire, Katerina (Andrew) Vicaire Wysote, Drake Barnaby Mitchell and Iohahes Leian Mitchell. He will be missed by his grandchildren Ella, Alyiah, Aubrey, Abygail, Jax, Annie May, Liam and Reign. He also leaves behind his mother Vivian Sorbey, his brothers Audie Mitchell, David (Deborah) Mitchell, his sister Maria (Marty) Frank. His godmother Maggie Isaac, his godson Galen Mitchell II. He will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and his in-laws Lesley (Joshua) Lazore, Bowman Lazore and Andrea Lazore. All of Akwesasne will miss him. His foster family are also gonna miss him; Napoléon and Chantal Bourdages from Saint Siméon.

He was predeceased by a sister Gail Mitchell, a step dad Frank Mitchell and his best friend Robert Latter.

A funeral service for Leonard Timmy will be held on September 23 at 3:00 pm at Maher’s Funeral Chapel, 64 Lansdowne street in Campbellton.

Visitations will be held at Maher’s funeral home, 33 Lansdowne street in Campbellton on Monday from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Tuesday from 1:00pm until the time of the service.
