Born in Newcastle, NB on November 29, 1945, daughter of the late James and Angelique (Ward) Cloud and through customary adoption was raised in a loving home by the late James and Mary (Ward) Bernard.
Madeleine devoted her life to caring for her family.
She is survived by her daughter Delphine Metallic (Paul Jacques); her grandchildren Alicia Beth (James Simon), Brian Jefferson and Yasmine Lynn; her great-grandchildren Thomas Patrick and Pelonik Danielle; her brother James Denny of Newcastle and her sister Irene Cloud Smith of Santa Cruz, California; and also many nieces and nephew. Besides her parents, her husband Thomas A. Metallic Sr., sons Ira Wayne Metallic and Thomas Jefferson Metallic and beloved sister Monica Bernard predecease her. She will be sadly missed by her companion Eugene.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Listuguj Community Development Centre in Listuguj on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 3 p.m. (AST)
Visitations at Maher's Funeral Home, 33 Lansdowne St., Campbellton, June 28, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Due to social distancing protocols, a limited number of people will be allowed into the funeral home at one time. There will also be visitation at the Listuguj Community Development Centre on Tuesday from 2pm until service time.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Campbellton Regional Hospital ICU for their wonderful care.
