

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Murphy Felix. Formerly of Flatlands, N.B., he passed away at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax on April 3rd at the age of 91. He was the husband of the late Vella Downs.
Murphy was born in 1931 in Grog Brook at to the late Peter Felix and the late Flora Firth.
Most of his working years were spent in Toronto at the Continental Can Company. Upon relocating back to N.B. in the late 70's, he worked at the Provincial Hospital in Campbellton. After retirement he enjoyed being a salmon fishing guide at the Cheuters Brook Camp. Murphy enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood cutting and being outdoors. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Campbellton.
Murphy is survived by his children Linda Felix (Gordon Kierstead), Larry Felix (Cynthia Adams), Lorelei Felix (Cade Olmstead). Grandchildren Morgan Kierstead, David Felix, Cole Felix, Jennifer Thompson, Chelsey Thompson. Great grandchildren Kaitlyn, George, Samantha, Cassandra, Chloe, Anabelle, Jagger, Audrey. Also survived by his brothers Robert & Richard Felix, sister Jacqueline Harvey. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by siblings Thomas, Peter Jr., Elizabeth, Amanda, Esther, Geraldine, Cecilia, Mary, Daisy, Gloria.
A funeral service will be held at the Christ Church Anglican on June 3, 2023 at 10:00 am.
Internment will follow at the Flatlands Cemetery with family and friends invited to lunch at the Glen Levit Firehall.
