Reginald John Cooling

Born in Dawsonville, NB on April 12, 1926, son of the late Gertrude (Thompson) and of the late James Cooling. He married Irene (Firth) on June 21, 1951. They had seven children together. Allison, Marjory, Dale, Richard, Christine, John and Larry.

He lived in Dawsonville for most of his life. He worked in logging, the woods and for the government garage before retiring. Reggie was loved by his family and friends and enjoyed teasing and telling stories. His smile and wink will never be forgotten and he will be greatly missed by all.

He is survived by his sons: Allison (Mary Lou) of Dawsonville, Dale of Glenlevit, Richard (Gail) of Glencoe, John (Brenda) of Dalhousie Junction. Eleven grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren and one on the way.

Siblings: Eileen (Garnet) of Moncton, Faye of Shediac, Maxine of Dawsonville, Harry of Dawsonville, Robert (Elaine) of Moncton, Ronald of Shediac.

He was predeceased by his daughters: Marjory and Christine, son: Larry, sisters: Betty and Lillian, brothers: Ralph, William, Frederick, Malcolm, Aulley and Sterling.

Service to be held and announced at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are in the care of Maher’s Funeral Home, Campbellton.
