

He was born in Port Elgin, NB on July 4, 1927 to the late Lewis James Hanson and Marguerite (Steele) Hanson.
Reginal worked for CNR as a pipefitter and welder for 39 years. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends at A&W every morning. He was a very active and disciplined man right up to his 98th year. He did his physical exercises every morning without missing a day. He skied and skated into his 90’s. He enjoyed keeping up with the maintenance of his home; including mowing the lawn and shovelling snow in winter. He enjoyed shopping and cooking his own meals. He always had hobbies whether it be welding or building furniture. He also enjoyed having a good game of cards or playing mini-golf. He will be greatly missed. He was a member of the Campbellton Baptist Church for many years.
He leaves behind his sons; Peter of Bathurst, NB; Reginal, Jr. (Sonya) of Ontario; Glen (Nora) of Lethbridge, Alberta and his daughter, Mary of Campbellton, NB.; his brother, Douglas; his sisters Dorothy, Eleanor and Rachel; his grandchildren: Joey, Bradly, Kyle, Lise, Jessica, and great granddaughter Selena. He was predeceased by this partner Jeannine (Jenn); his brothers Carmen, Herald and his sisters Anita.
A funeral service will be held at the Baptist Church, 18 Andrew street in Campbellton on Thursday, February 12 at 2:00 pm with visitations starting at 1:00pm
Donations to the Campbellton Baptist Church; Friends of Healthcare Foundation or a charity of the Donor’s Choice would be appreciated by the family.
