Billy Gerald Baer

Billy was born on November 10th, 1928 to Phil and Emma (Moore) Baer in Roxtan, Texas.

In 1951, Billy was inducted into the United States Army. He was honorably discharged in 1953.

Billy's family described him as a simple man. He served this country, he served his family and most importantly he served God.

During his later years, he enjoyed spending time with family and attending Galloway Baptist Church, formerly known as Northridge Baptist Church in Mesquite, Texas.

Billy is survived by his son Freddy Baer (Nancy) of Mesquite, Texas; and his daughter Sheryl Patterson (Kenneth) of Mesquite, Texas; his sister Lucille Thurman (Charles) of Irving, Texas and his brother-in-law Weldon Lankford (Darline) of Terrell, Texas; his grandson James Baer (Lauranette), and his step-grandchildren Tyler Gant and Tommy Gant of Mesquite, Texas.

Billy was preceded in death by his wife Betty Baer; his parents, Phil and Emma Baer; and his brother, Sheldon Baer.

Services for Mr. Billy Baer will be held at 1PM Wednesday, June 14 ,2023 at Dallas - Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
