David Michael Taylor, age 84, of Justin Texas, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022. Mike was born November 17, 1937 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Hugh Johnson Taylor and Evelyn Med Short Taylor. He retired from commercial equipment sales with Barnsco Fleet Maintenance and enjoyed working part time in the Cabela’s Gun Library. He was a Master Mason with the Tyler Lodge District 16 and had his pilots license. He enjoyed raising and owning Catahoulas and enjoyed being out in nature bird watching and fishing. Mike graduated in 1955 from Central High School in Little Rock and studied at the University of Arkansas. He served in the National Guard. Mike is preceded in death by his beloved Mam Mama, Med Fields Short and parents Evelyn and Hugh Taylor. He is survived by daughters Jessica Taylor Thomason, Dana Taylor Schulz, Scarlett Taylor Brown, Lisa Taylor Howry, Kristen Taylor Kelly and his sons Michael David Taylor, and Tim Ambort Taylor; twenty grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. Uncle Marvin R Taylor and sister Tracy Taylor Dietrich and many friends.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Metrocrest Funeral Home, Carrollton Texas at 3:00pm.
