Elizabeth Louse Powell passed into the loving arms of her husband Tom on July 5, 2017. Louise was born on November 23, 1924 in Galveston, Texas to Anselm McGill and Margaret Louise Slevin. Louise is preceded in death by her brother Buddy and sisters Blondie and Margaret, as well as her loving and devoted husband Tom. While raising her family, Louise established a physical education program at Mary Immaculate Catholic School, which her children were attending. She also had several secretarial jobs over the years that followed before retiring with her husband Tom and spending summers traveling in their camping trailer. Louise was a devout Catholic, a loving and devoted Mom, Grandmom, and Great-grandmom and will be missed. Louise is survived by her sister Joan, her children Trisha, Richard, Allen and David in addition to 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Friday July 21, 2017 at 12 noon at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church, 2800 Valwood Prkwy., Farmers Branch, Texas, followed by a brief graveside ceremony at Hilltop Cemetery, 1810 N.
