Preceded in death by his parents, brother Paul Bud Zimmerman and his step Mother Virginia Zimmerman

Graduated in 1958 from Wesleyville High School in Wesleyville

Pennsylvania. Attended Roberts Wesleyan College in North Chile, New

York and graduated from the Cox School of Business at SMU with a

certificate as RPA (Real Property Administrator). He retired from the

U.S. Navy after 32 years of service as a Chief Yeoman. Was a long time

member of the First Nazarene Church of Arlington Texas and in later

years became a member of the Vietnamese Baptist Church in Garland

Texas. Was a member and board member for Families for the

Rainforest non-profit organization. This was his passion and his way to

try and give something back. He believed that one person can make a

difference. In his latter years he volunteered to go to Vietnam with the

Vietnamese Baptist Mission in Ho Chi Ming City, Vietnam as a teacher
