Graciela Rojas Flores

Graciela was born in Loma Prieta, Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on May 26, 1935, to Arturo Rojas and Adela Cardosa. She graduated from secondary school and continued to receive her degree at Washington Business College in Monterrey, Mexico. Graciela met her husband at a Presbyterian convention in Mexico and married Aaron C. Flores on August 25, 1956. After a one-year courtship she married and moved to Dallas, TX. They were married 55+ years.

Graciela worked as a teacher’s aide and in school administration at Sudie Williams Elementary, Maple Lawn Elementary and Thomas Jefferson High School. Graciela enjoyed working with children, volunteering as a Cub Scout den mother, and Blue Bird leader, teaching 3-year-olds at First Presbyterian Church, and always involved with the Parent Teacher Association during her children’s school-age years. After retiring she cared for her new grandson, then volunteered with the Presbyterian Women Projects, making pillows for Children’s Health Hospital patients, and attended Sunday school on a regular basis. She was a member of Divine Savior, Bethany Presbyterian Church, then lastly First Presbyterian Church of Dallas for 59 years until home bound. Thereafter, however, she listened to the services online and continued to read her daily devotionals. She also enjoyed making desserts for her family and friends.

Graciela is preceded in death by Aaron C. Flores; her parents Arturo Rojas and Adela C. Rojas; and siblings Pedro, Arturo, Lila, and Ruben Rojas.

Graciela is survived by her children Eunice Fernandez, Aaron Flores, Jr., Lois Eubanks and spouse Darrell L. Eubanks; grandson Samuel Fernandez; and other family and friends.

Memorial services will be held on April 4, 2025, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Dallas, located at 1835 Young St., Dallas, TX 75201. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to First Presbyterian Church Day School at the same address.
