Harold Edward Boling, 76, of Plano Texas, died February 8, 2016 following a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. He was born June 17, 1939, in Portsmouth, Ohio, and was preceded in death by his parents Andrew (Edward) and Ruth (Lucy) Stratton Boling, of Friendship, Ohio.
Harold was raised in Friendship, Ohio and was a 1957 graduate of Portsmouth West High School. He was a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and also served in the US Army.
Most of Harold’s life he worked in and with higher education. In his later years, he was active with the Alzheimer’s Association of Dallas. Harold was a strong advocate for Alzheimer awareness and education.
Harold is survived by his wife, Virginia of 53 years, their two children, Connie and Ed, their spouses, four grandchildren, a brother Robert and a sister Mary Lou.
A celebration of Harold’s life is to be held at a later date.
