We are saddened to announce the passing of Janis Darlene Rogers on September 21, 2016. She was born on November 7, 1937 to William and Virginia Rector in Ellis County. Janis was better known as Momo to her family and will be greatly missed. She was a nurse, a good nurse and was always willing to serve and care for others. Friends and family enjoyed going to her home for visits for they knew there was always something cooking on the stove. She was the type of lady that would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. Her family brought her great joy. The grandchildren have fond memories of cheese and crackers on a tray in bed and spending quality time with her. Janis was a very smart lady. She loved horseback riding and had a southern hospitality. She was a lovely lady gone too soon. Janis is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughters Gayna (Jack) Yeager and Glenna Rogers; son, Tom Rogers (Lupe); grandchildren, Aeriel and Ian Yeager, Amber, Logan and Julia Rogers; extended family Jennifer Rogers and Courtney Rogers.
