Patricia “Pat” Greer Moore, 84, of Pottsboro, passed away April 24, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Ernest and Hazel Greer on August 3, 1934 in Altoona, Alabama. Pat graduated from Altoona High School. She married Eugene Douglas Moore in 1955 and they lived in Mobile, Tuscaloosa, and Birmingham, Alabama before moving to Dallas, Texas in 1976. Pat and Gene moved to Pottsboro in 2011 to be closer to their daughters Michele Sanseverino (husband Ray) and Pam Moore. She is also survived by sister Beverly Farabee (husband David), grandchildren Trey, Taryn, Nicole, and Deonte, great grandchildren Saren and Kale, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by sisters Evelyn Wallace and Virginia Smith and brothers Wayne and Bill Greer.
Pat’s most important job was raising her children. She was always very involved in all of their activities. After that she took a career with the U.S. Government until retirement age.
Pat took a lot of pride in her family and grew a rather large chosen family through the years. She was known for never meeting a stranger, her quick wit, and calling it just as she saw it...whether you wanted to hear it or not! She was a die hard University of Alabama fan and was not bashful about it! In parting ways, the last thing Pat always said was “Roll Tide” and it was one of the last things she said on her journey to heaven!
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 1:00pm at Georgetown Baptist Church, 207 Georgetown Road, Pottsboro, TX.
Requested attire: red and white
