

Robert “MyMy” was a graduate of the Forrest City High School Class of 2003. He worked many jobs in his lifetime, including Union Pacific Rail Yard, Marion, AR and City of Plano in Plano Texas.
Robert professed his life to Christ at an early age at The Willis Temple COGIC. He later was baptized at The Whole Bible Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Apostle D.A. Wirt. After relocating to Texas, he became a member of The Impact Church under the leadership of Pastor K.
In February of 2011, He met the Love of his life, Sharkendria Kenyotta Black. To this union, 1 son was born, Tre ‘Jun Gatewood. On September 20, 2019 they were united in Holy matrimony where they remained faithful to their vows.
“MyMy” as we called him, was known for his sense of humor (cracking jokes) and his Kool-Aid smile. He loved playing basketball and playing the video game with his son. He also loved to hang out with his wife, son, family and friends especially his right hand man Clifton Lay.
Robert “MyMy” gained his wings on August 3, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, Deacon Robert Gatewood, paternal grandparents John and Betty Gatewood, maternal grandparents Robert and Bernice Lay, nephew Cordarius Gatewood, and niece Nyla Moton.
He leaves to honor and cherish his hilarious memories….His wife Sharkendria Kenyotta Gatewood and son Tre ‘Jun Gecoby Gatewood of the home. His Mother Juanita (Luther) Lawson, Mother- in -love Mattie (Mike) Ursery, Father-in-love Freddie Black. He also leaves 4 brothers Terry Jones, Kimmothy Gatewood, Jason (Kathy) Gatewood, and Tores Gatewood. His 5 sisters-Melissa (Stanley) Buford, Wanda Gatewood, Rachel Johnson, Stacy Gatewood, and Karen Hill. As well as a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends in both Arkansas and Texas.
