CASA GRANDE - Duane Scholes, 75, of Casa Grande died on Dec. 27, 2015, at Promise Hospital of Phoenix.Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Mountain View Chapel. A celebration of life will follow at 11, with Pastor Jeremiah Bradford officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.Mr. Scholes was born on Sept. 30, 1940, in Worland, Wyoming, and was a son of Walter and Ruby Scholes. An electronics salesman, he loved sports, watching football games, watching his grandchildren’s games, being with his family and going fishing with them. Always a salesman, he liked to get the best deals and talk to people.Survivors include his wife of 55 years and "apple of his eye," Barbara; two daughters, Julie Larsen of Reno, Nevada, and Gina Porter of Plano, Texas; a son, Marty Scholes of Casa Grande; a sister, Darlene Moore of San Angelo, Texas; a brother, Terry Scholes of Denver; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Tolman, and a brother, Chuck Scholes.
