Eugenia "Genie" Guevara

Genie was born on February 19, 1958, in Eloy to the loving parents Porfirio and Maria Luisa Martinez. She grew up surrounded by their love and guidance.

Throughout her life, Genie found joy in various activities. She was a dedicated fan of the Arizona team and cherished attending their games. Another passion of hers was visiting the casino and indulging in some lively dancing. However, her greatest delight came from spending time with her family. Genie had an exceptional ability to shower love upon every child who entered her life.

The warmth of Genie's spirit touched all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her untimely departure leaves a void that will be profoundly felt.

Genie is reunited in eternity with her parents Porfirio and Maria Luisa, as well as her dear siblings Porfirio Jr., Francisco, Guadalupe, Gabriela, and Maria.

Genie leaves behind her beloved husband Pablo Guevara and their children Alma Guevara of Eloy, Arizona; Anna Guevara of Casa Grande, Arizona; Pablo Guevara Jr. of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Alicia Guevara of Florence, Arizona. A grandchild Marley. She is also survived by her siblings: Roy Rodriguez of Phoenix, Arizona; Mary Ann Aguilar of Wilcox, Arizona; Connie Cervantes of Picacho, Arizona; Johnny Martinez of Arizona City, Arizona; and Patricia Martinez of Woodstock, Georgia..

The memory of Genie's vibrant presence will forever be held close by her family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at St. Helen of the Cross. The Rosary will be recited at 10:30 AM, followed by Mass at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place immediately after at Eloy Memorial Park.
