John Calvin McClendon, 68, of Casa Grande died on Sept. 11, 2015, at The Garnet of Casa Grande. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel. The graveside service will follow at 11 in Mountain View Cemetery, with Chaplain Kenneth Collins officiating. Mr. McClendon was born on May 17, 1947, in Philadelphia and was a son of John T. McClendon and Mary E. Rogers. He served in the Army and later was a bus driver. He lived in many places and was a well-traveled man. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Eagles, and tennis and basketball. He played guitar and loved jazz.Survivors include his wife, Redolger F.; two sons, Omar McClendon of Los Angeles and Marshean McClendon of Chicago; a brother, Stephan C. McClendon of Mesa; and two sisters, Laverne Wilcox of Casa Grande and Sharon A. McClendon of San Tan Valley. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley McClendon, and a sister, Yvonne Williams.
