AK-CHIN - Juanita M. Norris, 90, died June 6, 2007 at home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Friday at the Norris home, 16591 N. Church St., followed by a wake. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 a.m. Saturday at St. Francis Catholic Mission in Ak-Chin. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery.Mrs. Norris was born May 16, 1917 in Ajo. She was a homemaker and a basket weaver. She was a prayer leader for homebound people, gave Communion and a member of Kateri Circle.Survivors include seven daughters, Mollie and Elena Norris of Ak-Chin, Lupe Kanitobe of Gunsight Village, Vivian Lewis of Stratmore, Calif., Sally Antone and Stella White of Ak-Chin and Cecilia Norris of Laveen; a brother, Felix Mike of Glendale, Calif.; two sisters, Lucy Mike and Irene Maxfield of Vaya Chin; 24 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan; two sons, Nathiel and Fredrick Norris; a sister; and a brother.J.
