Phyllis Angelina Paul, 69, was born June 16, 1956, and passed away April 25, 2026. Remembered with deep respect and affection, Phyllis carried herself with a quiet grace—marked by a kind heart and a thoughtful way of caring for others that was felt most clearly by those closest to her.
Phyllis found joy in the simple, enduring things: she was a traditional basket weaver, loved to dance, and cherished time spent outdoors. Above all, she loved her grandchildren and was proud of them. She is survived by her daughter Latisha Mancilla and five grandchildren, and she was excited to meet her first great grandbaby due in August.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Antonio Lopez; and her siblings, Juanita Garcia, Bernadette Antone, Francisco Lopez, Mary Ella Martin, Ruth Lopez, Edward Lopez, Edward Lopez, Raymond Lopez, and Luis Effman.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Church of the Holy Cross in Santa Cruz Village, with funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at 5:00 p.m. at Nestors Cemetery.
J. Warren Funeral Services are in charge of the arrangements.
