SACATON - Robert Brian Schurz, 64, of Sacaton died peacefully on Sept. 9, 2016.Mr. Schurz was born on April 24, 1952, in Sacaton to Byron and Blanche Schurz. He absolutely loved and cared for his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an artist and especially loved creating Native American art.He saw beauty in all things under the heavens, which inspired his work and creativity. He also enjoyed cruising around with his grandkids and family and a bit of gambling now and then.He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and is survived by two sisters, Emaline Quimayousie and Jeanell Justin of Sacaton; two stepdaughters, Lorinda Sumatzkuku and Verma Jackson of Sacaton; a stepson, Bennard Jackson of Sacaton; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Burial will be in Sacaton West Cemetery.J.
