
Ronald Lee Rasmussen of Maricopa, AZ, formerly Grand Rapids, MN, went home to his Lord and Savior on September 11, 2025, at the age of 75. Ron was born on August 19, 1950, to Geneva Rasmussen and the late Herman Rasmussen in Grand Rapids, MN. He was the youngest of six children. Ron attended Grand Rapids High School and graduated in 1968. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served four years during the Viet Nam War with the US Naval Security Group. He returned home and married Jeanne Kent on August 26, 1972, and they shared 53 wonderful years together, living in Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska and Arizona. They traveled for a year in their motor home prior to their move to AZ. Ron worked in the Judicial system for two years prior to founding his own Freelance Court Reporting business in the Twin Cities, MN, Rasmussen Freelance Court Reporters. Then the firm was Rasmussen and Carl Court Reporters before moving to Grand Rapids, MN, where he owned and operated Northland Court Reporting, serving northern Minnesota. Ron and Jeanne moved to AZ in 2010.
Ron loved to golf, spend time with Jeanne and their extended family, and laughed with everyone. He was an amazing husband and partner, loving brother and uncle, and a great friend to many. Ron is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne: brother Ken (Judy) Rasmussen of Kingman, AZ; sister Sharon (Robert) Beatty of Breezy Point, MN; sister-in-law Lori Kent of Grand Rapids, MN; brother-in-law Gary Seaman of Champlin, MN; and 17 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Rasmussen, mother, Geneva Rasmussen Kelly, stepfather Jack Kelly, sisters Charlotte (Tom) Russel, Peggy (Larry) Alto, Harriet Seaman, and brother-in-law John Kent.

A Celebration of Life for Ron will be held at the Province Club House, Maricopa, AZ on October _____, 2025 from 2-4pm.
