Sylvia was known for her skilled craftsmanship as a traditional basket weaver. Her passion for make-up and hair styling was evident in her creative pursuits. She had a vibrant personality, always ready with a joke to bring joy to those around her, even challenging times. Sylvia loved moments spent with her family and found great fulfillment in being a devoted mother to her children.
She is survived by her mother Veronica Velasco and her stepfather, Willard Juan Jr. Her children: Oscar, Oliver, Orion Montana, Damian Carrillo, and Laysia Luz. Her siblings Rochelle and Marvin Enos.
An all-night wake will take place on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Ventana. The burial will follow on Saturday, August 17, at 5 a.m. at Ventana Cemetery in Ventana, Tohono O'odham Nation.
The funeral arrangements are being handled by J. Warren Funeral Services, Mt. View Chapel.
