CASA GRANDE - Werner John "Al" Alfredo, 81, died peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Feb. 9, 2016, after a battle with cancer.Mr. Alfredo was born on Feb. 25, 1934, in Philadelphia to John and Paula Alfredo. He served in the Navy from 1953 to 1956 as a Seabee and supported the Korean War effort throughout the South Pacific islands. He was a master electrician and served in that vocation until retirement in 1994.He was well known for his love of music, family and friends, and he was a professional musician who inspired many people throughout his life. He enjoyed his beloved dog, Peanut.He is survived by his wife, Ellen; four sons, Richard, Curt, Eric and Randy; two daughters, Gretchen and Krista; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.The Alfredo family will be hosting a celebration of life at their home from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, with a ceremony at 2.
