

On Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, Chuck went to heaven to be with the Lord.
Chuck was born in Chehalis, Wash., on Jan. 11, 1919 to Thomas and Anna Mary (Farr) Osborne. He graduated from Chehalis High School in 1938. He then served our country in the Army during World War II from 1942 thru 1946. During that time while being stationed in Ft. Meade, Md., he met his soon-to-be bride, Lucille Knutson who was working in Washington D.C. Chuck and Lucille have been married for 68 years.
After his military duty he served an apprenticeship in goldsmithing and diamond setting in St. Paul, Minn., from 1947 until 1950. In the fall of 1950 he and his young family returned to the Pacific Northwest where Chuck owned and operated jewelry shops in both Portland and Salem, Ore. He then moved the family to his hometown of Chehalis in 1967 and opened Osborne Jewelry. Some years later in 1981 Chuck and Lucille partnered with their daughter, Patty and son-in-law Roger and opened Osborne and Stewart Jewelry.
Chuck continued to work designing and repairing jewelry until his final retirement at the age of 92.
Chuck was preceded in death by his daughter, Patty Stewart in 2005. He is survived by immediate family, wife, Lucille, daughters, Barbara Clift (Steve), Jan Millam (Eric) and son-in-law, Roger Stewart (Colleen). He was blessed with 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Chuck and Lucille have countless other people in their lives who they love and consider themselves to be the parents and grandparents of, as their extended family.
A celebration of the life of Chuck Osborne with military honors, will be held on Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m., at Sticklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia.
